Down to Zero is a not for profit Community Benefit Society established to support community led environmental activities that help tackle climate change.

More carbon dioxide (CO2) is now being released than the earth’s land-based plant life and oceans can naturally reabsorb. The excess carbon dioxide has formed a blanket in our atmosphere - trapping the sun’s heat and changing our climate, as seen in shifts in our earth’s jet stream, ocean currents, and air temperature. Rainfall patterns are changing, and glaciers (water storage for many communities) are melting quickly.

Down to Zero is supported by Cynon Taf Community Housing Group who are committed to working with our tenants, staff and local communities to reduce the impact of climate-change.

The strategies described here enable thousands of people to contribute to our primary objective of carbon capture and sequestration.
